    • Report of a financial officer, or the Treasurer

    • Report of the Supervisory Committee

    • Unfinished business

    • New business other than elections

    • Elections as required by Section 111 of the Federal Credit Union Act

    • Adjournment

Board Nomination Procedures:

Richmond Heritage Federal Credit Union has selected the bylaws option for elections which calls for the appointment of a Nominating Committee, which will nominate at least one member for each vacancy, resulting from the expiration of the term(s) of one or more Board members. This year, the credit union is accepting applications for four (4) open Board of Directors seats. Members in good standing are encouraged to apply and help shape the future of the credit union. If you are interested in a board seat, please email this completed form(click to download) to nomcom@richheritage.org or deliver it in a sealed envelope to the branch address care of “The Nominating Committee” by October 15th.

Once the nominating committee has selected the nominees for the four open seats on the Board, the names of those nominees will be posted in the office of the credit union, on the website, and emailed to the membership (must have E-Mail address on file with the credit union and have opted-in).

Election Procedures:

In order to vote, the staff will need to validate you are a member in our database before the meeting begins. Please plan to arrive 15 – 20 minutes before the start time. During the election process at the annual meeting, after placing the nominations of the Nominating Committee before the members, the Chairman of the Board will call for nominations from the floor. If a nomination is made from the floor, the nominee must have been consulted and agreed to serve if elected, and like the other nominees, must be a member in good standing. If there is only one nominee for each office, the Chairman may take a voice vote or declare the election of each nominee by general consent or acclamation. If there are more nominees than open positions, the Chairman will appoint election tellers, who will distribute ballots, collect the ballots and tally the votes. The four candidates receiving the most votes will be announced as winners.

Please share this message with any Heritage Members interested in attending the annual meeting or serving on the board.

History and Heritage of the Credit Union

Richmond Heritage Federal Credit Union was founded as a not-for-profit organization in 1936 by ten educators during the Great Depression. They recognized the need for access to economic resources not offered to African Americans by traditional financial institutions at that time. Richmond Heritage has grown into a multi-million dollar credit union, owned and operated by its members who proudly continue the founders’ pay-it-forward values—the opportunity to achieve basic foundations of financial security by offering affordable financial services. We are committed to helping families and individuals reach their financial goals.

 With respect and admiration,

Your Richmond Heritage Federal Credit Union Staff
